Drew McIntyre Admits CM Punk Is Controversial Amid WWE Return Rumors
CM Punk has never failed to burn bridges with many companies he has worked with, as controversy always follows him every step of the way. He was fired from AEW last week after lot of drama and now rumors suggest he wants to return to WWE. It appears Drew McIntyre admitted that CM Punk is controversial amid rumors of his WWE return.
Ringside News exclusively reported that CM Punk made desperate attempt to return to WWE when he was part of the WWE Backstage show a few years ago. Other reports have suggested that he was interested in returning to WWE before his AEW comeback earlier this year.
While speaking with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda Wrestling, Drew McIntyre was asked about CM Punk returning to WWE. McIntyre simply stated that CM Punk is controversial and gets people talking and didn’t say anything else.
“I mean, I don’t make those decisions. I watch what I say in interviews. But he’s (CM Punk) certainly controversial and he gets people talking. So, I’ll leave it at that.”
Ringside News also exclusively reported that CM Punk wants fans to believe WWE is an option for him. We’ll have to wait and see what will become of The Second City Saint in the end.
